Leverne Hamilton was born August 5, 1889 in Riverdale, Nebraska. He graduated from Carney High School about 1908 and moved to Musselshell in 1912 where he took up a homestead. He studied law via correspondence course for three years, while maintaining the family homestead and operated the Musselshell Advocate newspaper for a number of years. He served one term (1931-1932) as a Democratic representative for Musselshell County in the Montana legislature. He moved his family to Roundup, Mont. in 19...
